cropped-me

I’m Tessa More, a senior at Ithaca College. I am a Journalism Major, and minor in Sports Studies and French. On campus, I analyze Cornell Ice Hockey on ICTV shows: Big Red Faceoff and Sports Final, and write for Buzzsaw and Ithaca Week.  In addition I am an executive board member for the social activism club IC Futures, where I publish weekly newsletters after our meetings.

I am a passionate note-taker and I spend my time documenting what is happening around me, whether it’s in meetings, classes, or out living my life. My main passion is telling stories, which is why I love journalism. In my free time, I make extensive playlists which I then dance and sing along to. Sometimes I’m imagining I’m on a broadway stage, cooking, reading, wishing I was skiing, and collecting fun socks.

I’m pursuing Sports Journalism, and working to have a career writing and talking about NHL teams. I’ve shadowed Islanders’ MSG play-by-play announcer Brendan Burke (pictured above) , and Washington Capital Washington Post Beat Writer Isabelle Khurshudyan. In addition I covered the 2018 ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championships in Lake Placid.
